Oh! The places you’ll go!

Oh! The places you'll go!When I was younger I was in complete amazement of Dr. Seuss. I fell in love with the drawings and the rhyming adventures. Anything is possible in the world of Dr. Seuss. The books are exactly what you want children to be, adventurous and full of imagination.

I found myself reading “Oh! The places you’ll go!” and realized that in matter of fact, these crazy books might actually have a deeper meaning. And dare I even say teach us some life lessons.

“You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy (girl) who’ll decide where to go.”

Packing up my life and going to Australia wasn’t really the plan I had for myself a year ago, but hey things happen! And looking at it now, it’s the best decision I’ve made in quite a while. I hope it works out the way I have it planned in my mind.

“And when things start to happen,
don’t worry. Don’t stew.
Just go right along.
You’ll start happening too.”

The packing is slowly starting to empty out my room, and I can see the finish line coming up closer. Organizing is something that’s in my blood which is making this all a lot easier I must confess. Visa, insurances and flights are all done, contracts have been ended and friends have been told of the plans.

All it leaves me with is a lot of boxes to pack and some furniture to move. Out all of this, one thing I’ve learned is how easy it is to pack up your life. It’s crazy to think my whole life is in these boxes piled up beside me. Puts life in perspective, doesn’t it?

“You’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!”
